ABOUT

I have reflected on how I am different from other designers: Rather than having various materials for inspiration surround my workspace (such as toys, images, and other objects), I have come to the conclusion that while I do love design, my love is a means to an end. The research process behind the design is where my passion resides. The knowledge and information I carry in my head typically finds itself infused into my artwork and designs creating even more depth and variance to impact people on multiple levels. Connecting the data, which tells its story, is what drives my creative inspiration.

I am a complex person who has been influenced by various and random life experiences which mold together to make me a person who can relate to anyone. I love theology, art, history, philosophy, social sciences (individual human behavior and group dynamics) and my other personal interests vary, but I try to leverage all of the topics I am interested in and put them into a format that makes sense and also educates people.

I love how ideas can change the world, literally. Once a person shares an idea, history and the world are impacted and changed. This motivates me to infuse into my art a variety of different topics and angles to create deeper, meaningful, and more thoughtful pieces while keeping things simple, clean, and easy to understand. I want to make people think and come away with new ways of looking at things.

Capturing the attention of others and elevating them to a higher level of understanding; removing the veil on a thought process or viewpoint; and using technology as leverage to explore, capture and display the human experience through the expression of art and design is one of the highest forms of change that I can think of… a daunting assignment that I am more than capable of completing. Creating simplicity from the complex is always a challenge that I am up for.
